Set in New York State's Fabulous Finger Lakes Region  Voted #1 Lakeside Retreat in the World by the Weather Channel, August 2009

The Broken Vows mystery series is set in the fictional tourist town of Wachobe, New York, located somewhere--don't even try to guesstimate exactly where, it's fictional--on the western edge of the Finger Lakes region.

But it's a fact that the Finger Lakes region is a favorite tourist destination in New York State. The western/central New York region includes eleven lakes in total, formed at the end of the final ice age by the receding glaciers that once covered northern United States. Iroquois Indian folklore says the major lakes were formed by the hand of the Great Spirit reaching down into the earth.

The Finger Lakes area offers many indoor and outdoor attractions, including museums, theaters, music, art and craft shows, festivals, fishing, water sports, ski resorts, hot air balloon rides, historic landmarks, award-winning wineries, the fruits of farm country, and, of course, the fabulous lakes, all with their own character and charm.
