Mysteries inspired by a racing obsession
After years of listening to her husband talk about cars, Lisa found inspiration for protagonist Jolene Asdale's unusual profession of "sportscar boutique owner" in the Broken Vows mysteries.
Cars and racing are a way of life for the Bork family with two race cars in the garage. The first was a 1970 Datsun 240Z (featured in For Richer, For Danger), which took first place overall in the September 1997 Sportscar Vintage Racing Association's Paine Webber Endurance Championship.
The second race car is a Mazda Protégé (featured in book three of the Broken Vows mysteries), which Lisa's husband originally raced in Grand Am Cup before moving to the Canadian Touring Car Series.
